Cube Test of Concrete.

What is cube test of concrete?

A cube test is a method of measuring its compressive strength of concrete after specific time of period.

A concrete cube test involves taking a sample of freshly mixed concrete, letting it cure and then crushing it and measuring its compressive strength.

Formula of compressive strength of concrete?

Compressive strength formula is the load applied at sample of concrete at the point of failure to the cross section area on the face on which load was applied.

                                       compressive strength= Load/cross section area

Procedure for compressive strength of concrete cube

There are two types of mold uses for this procedure one is  150mm*150mm*150mm and second one is 10mm*10mm*10mm based on used aggregate(size of aggregates).

total no of specimen is 6 for different days tested.

this concrete sample is poured in mold in three parts and tempered after every parts of pouring, After 24 hours mold should be removed and sample are puts in water for getting results after 7days, 14days and 28 days.

After 7days and 28 days specimen tested by applied load gradually 140kg/cm^2 per minute until the failure of specimen and note the results.
